PSC Construction in Omaha NE is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a vital member of our construction crew, you will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of underground utilities in the Omaha area. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain various heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, and more.
  • Perform precise and efficient excavation and trenching for the installation of underground utilities such as sewer lines, water mains, and electrical systems.
  • Work in coordination with the construction team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your team members.
  • Inspect equipment and perform regular maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other trades to coordinate work activities and ensure project success.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or utility setting.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of proper excavation techniques and underground utility installations.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

Hourly Wage: $38.04
