PSC Construction is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team.

Job Description:

• Operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and trenchers for underground utility projects

• Follow project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise and accurate work
• Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on equipment
• Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and crew members to meet deadlines
• Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures and company policies
• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and backhoes to excavate, grade, and compact earth within specified parameters
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Follow safety protocols and regulations
• Work with the construction team to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
• Maintain a clean and organized work site
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, and job site personnel

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and backhoes to excavate, grade, and compact earth within specified parameters
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Follow safety protocols and regulations
• Work with the construction team to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
• Maintain a clean and organized work site
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, and job site personnel

Requirements:

• Proven 2 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator of: Excavator, Skid Steer Loader, Backhoe, Dozer, and other Earthmoving equipment
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and safety consciousness
• No criminal misdemeanors in the last 5 years or criminal felonies in the last 7 years
• Willingness to travel from time to time if the project requires
